Ruch and Rowan at Freedom Night...
...are here. Flatmate Rowan joined Jeremy Ruch for a set at a concert to benefit International Justice Mission in their efforts to end sex slavery. Nicely done, lads.

Chore Shenanigans
So, every city, fiefdom, empire, family needs some rules to keep it all together. Otherwise, that disposition we inherited from our first parents kicks in, and combined with Newton's second law of thermodynamics, leads to, well, a mess. Not to say that even with these rules, things don't often turn out messy. At seven fifteen a we used to have a chores list, that desperately needs to come back into effect with adherence to its dictates, but somehow still the dishes still managed to pile up. Is it the kitchen person's responsibility? Should everyone do their own? Immediately? At the end of the day? Well, Jonathan imported a system, which actually seems quite promising in which there are 4 little cards which we flip when one of us has done the dishes and it is the next person's turn.
Of course, our dispositions being what they are, being inherited from our first parents, etc. etc., I immediately thought, "Hey, if I really have not done enough dishes to count it a turn, I will simply get some clean dishes out of the cupboard and put them in the dish rack. Problem solved ;) No, in truth, I generally am a better citizen of our littly dutchy than that. It is, indeed, a good system. Nonetheless, that did not keep one of our good citizen's from the following. Virtual kudos to the first person to guess who?
Jonathan is actually a very good citizen of our kingdom, and if I had to go with the British system, I would call him the Lord Mayor of London. I think Nathan, then, would would have to be the Prime Minister, as he conducts most of the business, but of the hip Tony Blair variety, though, not the Maggie Thatcher or Gordon Brown sort. Peter Rowan must be the Archbishop of Canterbury, based, if nothing else, on his name, but perhaps also on his high church leanings. Phew! It is good to finally get a solid, reformed person in that post. And that leaves me. Well, since I am the eldest, wear funny hats, and my roommates seem to find me a little amusing, well, I guess that makes me the Queen Mum.
So, if you want to play along at home, you may come up to revisions to this system, or come up with titles based on a completely different universe of characters. Say, the Star Wars galaxy or the American system. If you play, though, it would be helpful if you knew us at least a little. And, yeah, be nice.
